In terracotta and in various sizes, the new series of bottles made by Artenova shows how the company owned by Leonardo Parisi, leader in the production of amphorae and wine jars, is conscientious about research and experimentation, primarily for wine jars, but also for new terracotta products. The new set of bottles is hand made on the potter’s wheel and like all handmade objects this can give rise to small differences between one bottle and another.
Amphorae, jugs, flasks (Artenova’s comes in the 1 litre size) and bottles made of terracotta, the most used material of ancient civilizations for the preservation and storage of wine. Apart from being a fascinating dive into the past, they are a wonderful example of the extraordinary craftsmanship of Tuscany.
The inside of the bottles is glazed with food friendly enamel.
