The event “Buongiorno Ceramica” will be held at Impruneta from the 2nd  – 5th of June.  The Artenova workshop opens its doors on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th   (from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm) to artists, lovers of ceramics and to anyone who wishes to get to know the world of Terracotta. The two-day programme at the Artenova workshop in Via Europa, Impruneta includes demonstrations of clay modelling, art exhibitions and wine tasting of the amphora wines by Tenuta Casadei.

On Saturday morning, in Piazza Buondelmonti a ceremony took place where each workshop marked their first piece of pottery with the official Ceramic Art and Tradition (C.A.T) stamp of Impruneta. Recognized by the Ministry of Economic Development, it identifies and protects of Impruneta’s terracotta products. The acknowledgment, for which the historic artisanal district of terracotta in Impruneta has awaited 27 years, will open new scenarios to its artisans and their entrepreneurship and will now protect its craftsmanship and the uniqueness of Impruneta’s terracotta.

Leonardo Parisi of Artenova who has also adhered to C.A.T.  was present on Saturday in Piazza Buondelmonti, the main square of Impruneta, together with the other terracotta craftsmen of the town, to symbolically stamp a terracotta artefact made by the Artenova workshop with the first C.A.T. mark.
