“Excellent” the wine produced in the portuguese talhas of Herdade do Rocim, our guests at “Terracotta and Wine 2016” in Impruneta

A TV report about the amphorae of Herdade do Rocim, has been shown by Portuguese TV: RTP, describing the techniques of wine making in terracotta (min 6.09) with “Talhas”, the Portuguese name for the enormous pots in use since Roman times and still used today by the wine producers from Cuba, in the region of Vidigueira in Portugal. During the reportage, Jancis Robinson, one of the most influential journalists and wine critics in the world, describes the amphora wine Bojador Vinho de Talha as “excellent” (min 6.47). Here you can see the video in its full version while we take the opportunity to re-propose with pleasure, our exclusive interview with four of the seven Portuguese producers of Talha wine who participated in “Terracotta and Wine 2016”, the previous biennial event organised by the Association “La terracotta e il vino” dedicated to wine in amphora from around the world.
