Artenova wine-jars in the suggestive cellar of Borgo La Caccia

In the wine cellar of Borgo La Caccia, the amphorae of Artenova create an unusual atmosphere. The large ovoid jars positioned in the foreground echo the rounded vaults to lend a suggestive and surreal perspective.

The Estate of Borgo La Caccia, (BS)

Borgo La Caccia is a large estate, located in Pozzolengo, in the Morainic hills near Lake Garda, in the province of Brescia. It extends over 90 hectares, of which 30 are planted with vineyards. Here viticulture, in addition to a family passion, is a commercial activity with a social imprint: the resources of nature, in fact, are the means used to enable the youngsters of the Lautari Community to complete their rehabilitation. The company began as a social project in the early 90’s, when the breeding of show jumping horses and the production of wine were used as activities for the rehabilitation and reintegration of people with drug addiction. The philosophy of Borgo La Caccia is based on the enhancement and defence of nature with a search for natural production methods, limiting as much as possible, chemical interventions on the final products. Their Passion is maintaining old production traditions while creating synergy with cutting-edge technologies.

Inanfora, Lugana Doc

The pride of the winery is “Lugana Doc” vinified in purity from the virtuous indigenous Turbiana di Lugana vine, a white wine with a strong character but a soft and elegant taste, with aromas of citrus and fruit. Must, fermentation and aging are all carried out in the Artenova amphorae. The virtues of Impruneta terracotta, in particular its oxygenating (breathing) properties, enables them to obtain a great wine with refined, delicate aromas, a final product that enhances the typical characteristics of the local Trebbiano grape: aromas of white flowers and persistence on the palate, straw yellow in colour with golden reflections. Spices, white pepper and light saffron. The soft pressing of the grapes, the alcoholic fermentation in amphora in a thermo-controlled environment and a long maturation on the noble lees for 4-5 months in the Artenova jars, have made this product a true excellency. “Inanfora” is the name chosen to emphasize the origin and characteristics of this wine, an emblem of the passion for traditions and for the use of natural methods, at the forefront both in the vineyard and in the cellar.
