Artenova’s February Newsletter on how they make wine in amphora in California

Artenova has dedicated the February Newsletter to a biodynamic vineyard from California, AmByth Estate owned by Philip and Mary Hart. AmByth Estate is located in Templeton, between San Francisco and Los Angeles, and they have been making wine in amphora since 2012. In their cellar they currently have 16 amphorae all made by Artenova.

In the Newsletter Philip and Mary told us how terracotta fully responds to their production philosophy, which is certified Demeter and the fact that they have chosen a type of agriculture marked by purity and respect for the rhythms of nature. Philip Hart also spoke of the type of grapes they use and how the terracotta develops intense flavour profiles “without masking”.
