On Saturday, Oct. 24th in Montecatini, Tuscany, four wine producers who collaborate with Artenova, will be present with wine tasting stalls for the annual event organized by Slow Wine. The event will hold the presentation of the national “Slow Wine Guide 2016”, in occasion of Food & Books. The Slow wine event is one of the largest in Italy. It hosts well over 1,018 wines and 600 wine producers. Our four producers present are: Castello dei Rampolla from Tuscany, Foradori from Trentino, Corte Sant’Alda from Veneto and Cirelli from Abruzzo.
These four companies who all make wine in amphora, received the prestigious award of “Chiocciole” (i.e. Snails, the symbol of slow wine). This year, the prize giving which is the flower of Slow Wine, will have a new addition for 2016, that of “Agricola Francesco Cirelli”. The “Snail” award is given to those companies that have all three qualities of “Good, Clean and Fair”. For Cirelli the recognition of Slow Wine was given in particular to their Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Amphora 2014.
This is a great traditional wine of Abruzzo and it is aged in terracotta wine jars by Artenova. On Saturday 24th many other producers will come from all over Italy. At the tasting stalls it will be possible to taste the wines and find out all about them.
